My Wii Fit Board Won’t Sync with Wii System

Yesterday I assisted someone in getting their Wii Fit Board to sync properly with their Wii system.  It was working correctly for them until all of a sudden it stopped. Their attempts at resyncing it were not working and they couldn't find their wii fit manual.

Here are some directions on "how to sync a wii fit board with a wii system".  If you are having problems syncing your wii fit board, this may help you.

These directions come from this post on the Nintendo website.

  • Check the battery life of the batteries in the Wii Balance Board. If the battery level is low, try a fresh set of batteries.
  • Even if the battery level is strong, try the following:

Try these steps!

1.  Insert a Wii Balance Board compatible game disc in the Wii console.
2.  Use the Wii Remote to select the Disc Channel from the Wii Menu, then select "Start" to begin the game.  Press the A Button to bypass the wrist strap screen.
3.  Open the small SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console.
4.  Remove the Battery Cover on the bottom of the Wii Balance Board.
5.  Press and release the SYNC button on the Wii Balance Board.  The blue light on the board will start blinking.
6.  Press and release the red SYNC button on the Wii console while the blue light on the board is still blinking.
7.  The blue light will stop blinking and stay on steady once the syncronization is complete.

I hope this helps anyone who is having trouble syncing their wii fit board with their wii system correctly.

Until next time,

April Fools Day Pranks - Just in time for April Fools Day!

In honor of April Fools Day on April 1st, I wanted to share a few great clips showing some fun April Fools Day Pranks.

The first video comes courtesy of The Simpsons.  It's a short clip showing bart playing an April fools day prank on Homer. We all know how much he enjoys his Duff beer, so watch and enjoy!

Next I want to share a BBC video that is actually from all the way back in 1957.  This is a video of the wonderful spaghetti harvest that the canton of Ticino in Switzerland was experiencing... or so many people believed after this video was released.

Next up is for those who aren't completely familiar with April Fools Day Pranks, or April fools day itself for that matter. It will provide some insight into this fun and potentially embarrassing day while having some good references for jokes throughout!

Here is another fun BBC video of a prank of flying penguins that makes you think... Really, there are penguins that can fly?

Now it's time for an April Fools day prank that was on The Price is Right with Drew Carey as host. I can't imagine having a prank pulled on me on live television, but this was no "bogus" attempt... You should understand the bogus comment after watching the video.

I hope you are enjoying these videos because this next one is possibly my favorite of the bunch. I'm not sure if this was done as an April Fools Day prank for sure or not, but it is very entertaining nonetheless. If you were in this teachers class you might actually enjoy it. It is a trick that was done for a Nature of Math class at Biola University.

I'm going to end this post with a video of a pac man prank that probably wasn't done as an April Fools day prank, but got me to chuckle. I can just picture this happening in many different places.

Have a great april fools day tomorrow!

Your friendship means a lot to me…

I found this entertaining comic while searching the net.  I wanted to pass it on so here it is! Enjoy!

5 Second Rule - Snack

I enjoy Cyanide and Happiness comics, they regularly make me laugh (with my unique sense of humor).  This one is no exception either.

You have most likely heard of, or even used the the 5 second rule at some point in your past.  So how far does the 5 second rule go?

Another ImOnRecess Development Update

Hello again,

As you may have noticed, I have continued to make updates to the site.  Games have been added and videos have been updated.

My next task is to include an area where visitors can see how many people are visiting the site at any given time.  The actual number of website visitors at a time is something I personally like to see on websites and as such, I think it will be a good addition.

The actual number of visitors I have had on this site at a time has ranged thus far depending on the promotional tasks I have completed.  It is always nice to see people visiting and supporting because that means I am doing something right.  My goal is to provide a website where you can enjoy yourself and want to return.

So thanks for visiting, reading, playing, watching, whatever it is you enjoy doing here… thank you!

P.S. Don’t hesitate to tell your friends/family about this site.  Lets grow together!

Latest ImOnRecess Development Update

Hi all,

As you may have noticed, I have been working on improving this website a lot lately.  I have attempted to make it easier to navigate while keeping/improving its appeal.  For this reason, I have introduced the use of tabs throughout the site.  I haven’t completed all updates yet but a majority of the design based updates are now live.

I have added a tv shows section to provide more entertainment (over and above the many mini games I regularly add) and it currently includes 15 great shows.  It is important to note that legally I cannot host any of the video content (tv shows) so simply put I don’t.  This does cause some issues with regard to video reliability and uptime as I don’t control them. For this reason, I have included multiple video sources for each episode added.  This means that if you go to watch an episode that doesn’t seem to be working you should be able to choose a different source and start watching your desired show.

I have also continued to add new mini games to play.  I am very careful in the games I add.  I only add games which I enjoy playing and think provide value for others.  I tend to enjoy playing puzzle or strategy based games as is shown in the quantity of puzzle games introduced but there are a variety of games available.

I do have plans on implementing a member functionality in the future so you will be able to login, favorite games and videos, submit video sources that are out of date and much more.

Also, as you may know this entire website has been put together by myself.  It has been more of a personal project for me up to this point and I have enjoyed putting it together but I will soon need to start monetizing my efforts to support the development of this site.

If you enjoy this website, I would appreciate any support you can provide. Below you should find a button that will allow you to donate via paypal.

Im On Recess development progress

This is a quick update to inform you on the development progress of  As you may know, this is a side project of mine which I work at when I have the opportunity to do so.

I have been in the process of altering the look and layout of the site, not to mention adding tons of new mini games to play which I feel are worth your time to play.

I have also updated the menu to allow you to quickly find a game to play in a specific category instead of only being able to find a game on the main page.

Please check back regularly and provide any feedback you can to help make this site even better!

I appreciate all support and feedback!
