Tv Show Updates

I have just updated the video sources for watching Glee online here at Im On Recess

Another ImOnRecess Development Update

Hello again,

As you may have noticed, I have continued to make updates to the site.  Games have been added and videos have been updated.

My next task is to include an area where visitors can see how many people are visiting the site at any given time.  The actual number of website visitors at a time is something I personally like to see on websites and as such, I think it will be a good addition.

The actual number of visitors I have had on this site at a time has ranged thus far depending on the promotional tasks I have completed.  It is always nice to see people visiting and supporting because that means I am doing something right.  My goal is to provide a website where you can enjoy yourself and want to return.

So thanks for visiting, reading, playing, watching, whatever it is you enjoy doing here… thank you!

Mark

P.S. Don’t hesitate to tell your friends/family about this site.  Lets grow together!

Latest ImOnRecess Development Update

Hi all,

As you may have noticed, I have been working on improving this website a lot lately.  I have attempted to make it easier to navigate while keeping/improving its appeal.  For this reason, I have introduced the use of tabs throughout the site.  I haven’t completed all updates yet but a majority of the design based updates are now live.

I have added a tv shows section to provide more entertainment (over and above the many mini games I regularly add) and it currently includes 15 great shows.  It is important to note that legally I cannot host any of the video content (tv shows) so simply put I don’t.  This does cause some issues with regard to video reliability and uptime as I don’t control them. For this reason, I have included multiple video sources for each episode added.  This means that if you go to watch an episode that doesn’t seem to be working you should be able to choose a different source and start watching your desired show.

I have also continued to add new mini games to play.  I am very careful in the games I add.  I only add games which I enjoy playing and think provide value for others.  I tend to enjoy playing puzzle or strategy based games as is shown in the quantity of puzzle games introduced but there are a variety of games available.

I do have plans on implementing a member functionality in the future so you will be able to login, favorite games and videos, submit video sources that are out of date and much more.

Also, as you may know this entire website has been put together by myself.  It has been more of a personal project for me up to this point and I have enjoyed putting it together but I will soon need to start monetizing my efforts to support the development of this site.

If you enjoy this website, I would appreciate any support you can provide. Below you should find a button that will allow you to donate via paypal.

Im On Recess development progress

This is a quick update to inform you on the development progress of ImOnRecess.com.  As you may know, this is a side project of mine which I work at when I have the opportunity to do so.

I have been in the process of altering the look and layout of the site, not to mention adding tons of new mini games to play which I feel are worth your time to play.

I have also updated the menu to allow you to quickly find a game to play in a specific category instead of only being able to find a game on the main page.

Please check back regularly and provide any feedback you can to help make this site even better!

I appreciate all support and feedback!

Windows 7 secret folder

Here is a very interesting trick with Windows 7 that I found and wanted to pass it along.  This worked for me without issue on Windows 7 64-bit and It should work on Windows 7 32-bit aswell, but I cannot guarantee it will work for you.  Use this at your own discretion.

This little trick will allow you to create a folder on your computer that includes shortcuts to just about every windows setting you would have an interest in tweaking/changing.

Here’s what you need to do to get this special folder.  It will take a very short time to complete and most settings will be easily available to you!

Step 1: Go to the location you would like the folder to appear and create a new folder.
Step 1: Now, simply change the folder name to whatever you want (CHANGE FOLDERNAME) and put the following after the name you choose.

FOLDERNAME.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

As an example if you wanted the folder to be called “Everything” you would change the folder name to “Everything.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}” (without the quotations).

The folder will now change and when you go inside it you will see a whopping amount of settings and options.

It shows me numerous options in each of the following areas:

- Action Center
- Administrative Tools
- AutoPlay
- Backup and Restore
- Color Management
- Credential Manager
- Date and Time
- Default Programs
- Desktop Gadgets
- Device Manager
- Devices and Printers
- Display
- Ease of Access Center
- Folder Options
- Fonts
- Getting Started
- HomeGroup
- Indexing Options
- Internet Options
- Keyboard
- Location and Other Sensors
- Mouse
- Network and Sharing Center
- Notification Area Icons
- Parental Controls
- Performance Information and Tools
- Personalization
- Phone and Modem
- Power Options
- Programs and Features
- Recovery
- Region and Language
- RemoteApp and Desktop Connections
- Sound
- Speech Recognition
- Sync Center
- System
- Taskbar and Start Menu
- Troubleshooting
- User Accounts
- Windows Anytime Upgrade
- Windows CardSpace
- Windows Defender
- Windows Firewall
- Windows Mobility Center
- Windows Update

I hope this tip proves useful for you.  Below you should see a sample clip of the folder.

ImOnRecess website development status

Hello,

This is a progress post to inform you on the development of this site.

I have been working a lot at enhancing this website.  If you have been following the progress made, you should have noticed the presence of the videos section.  I have been working on this section for quite some time now behind the scenes and have just added it today to the live site.  I am now going through and testing the website for consistency on many different web browsers.

I have came across one interesting issue that I am starting to look into.  For some reason, on Macintosh based computers using Safari as a web browser, some of the image colors I have in the header are not appearing correctly.

I hope you are enjoying the growing selection of games and videos available to you on this site.  I plan on bringing you only quality minigames and good videos to watch.  The current status of ImOnRecess.com is live and feel free to navigate around and play games.

The games and videos on this site are (in my opinion) all worth your time to check out so enjoy your Recess!

Thanks for your time,
Mark Garland
